Chengdu to Guilin by Air

Are you planning to travel to Li River from Chengdu after exploring the lovely giant pandas at Chengdu Panda Research Base? Let’s see how to get to Li River from Chengdu.
As at 1st March 2021, there are 2 x direct flights from Chengdu to Guilin every day. Lijiang Bridge, the Liberation Bridge, the Nanzhou Bridge, the Elephant Trunk Hill, the Fubo Hill, the Diecai Hill, and Jingping Hill in the City of Guilin witness the Li River for hundreds & thousands of years. When you fly into Guilin Liangjiang International Airport from Chengdu, the most convenient way is to rent a car to any one of these attractions as listed above. Alternatively, you could take the airport shuttle bus to the Minhang Hotel, which is approximately 5 x minutes walk from the Lijiang Bridge. If you are staying overnight at the Shangri-La Hotel which is very close to the Li River, you could walk along the river at night to feel the soft river wind in summer. |

Chengdu to Guilin by High Speed Train

As at 1st March 2021, 15 x high-speed trains can be able to take you to Guilin where the Li River lies from Chengdu. They depart in the morning or in the afternoon. They arrive at Guilin Railway Station, Guilin North Railway Station or Guilin West Railway Station. When you arrive in Guilin, you could rent a car to any one spot you are interested to admire the views along the river as there is no direct bus to the spots mentioned above.
As at 1st March 2021, there are only 2 high-speed trains to Yangshuo Railway Station in Xingping Old Town from Chengdu. D1855 departs at 07:58 am and D1812 departs at 07:53 am from Chengdu East Railway Station. After reaching Yangshuo Railway Station, you could just enjoy the natural views at Xingping Pier which is located around 15 minutes ride from the station. If you would like to, you could rent a car to Yangshuo County to explore West Street together with the Li River which is just situated within 10 minutes walk from the street. |
