Li River vs Yulong River
Li River
Many tourists want to know the differences of the Li River vs Yulong River. Let’s take a quick look at the Li River vs Yulong River.
The Li River runs from the City of Guilin to Yangshuo for 83 kilometers. It witnesses the city for hundreds of years while the Diecai Hill, Fubo Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill see the Li River for hundreds of years too. Fubo Hill overlooks the whole city of Guilin. The section of the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is endowed with stunning karst scenery. The karst hills are decorated with ever-green trees and natural frescoes on the wall to appreciate. The section of the Li River in Yangshuo features the most breathtaking views of the karst landscape. Carp on the Wall, Nine-horse Fresco Hill, Wave Stone Legend, Reflection of Yellow Cloth Shoal and Yangdi present the amazing views to tourists. The Li River big cruise boat can take passengers to enjoy the views along the river from Guilin to Yangshuo. Persons of all ages are permitted to take the big boat. Yulong River
As one of the tributaries of the Li River, the Yulong River winds through the Yangshuo Countryside for around 43.5 kilometers. The river is surrounded by old villages, karst hills and plots of fields. Several old stone bridges have seen the river for hundreds of years, including Fuli Old Bridge and Yulong Old Bridge. Fuli Old Village and Jiuxian Village is two of the villages near the Yulong River. They are dotted with well-preserved old houses in late Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1912).
In addition, tourists can be able to experience fan-painting and classical Chinese photography in Fuli Village. In March during the rainy season in Yangshuo, the karst hills and golden rape flowers in the fields close to the Yulong River are hidden in fog, making for stunning views. Yulong River features the traditional bamboo rafting to experience. It is endowed with a relatively tranquil pastoral scene to enjoy. Tourists can explore the countryside the Yulong River runs through on foot or by bike as well. |
